2017 YEAR-END CONTRIBUTIONS
The church offices are closed from December 25-31 this year. However, December 31st is a Sunday, so we encourage you to bring your year-end contributions with you on Sunday morning. In the event, you are not able to attend Sunday morning, or you would like to deliver your gift outside of the service, please remember year-end contributions must be postmarked or delivered to the church by December 31st to receive 2017 contribution credit. You may drop your gift at either the Champions or Jersey Village campus. The Champions drop box is under the covered drive near the Family Life Center Entrance, and the Jersey Village drop box is near the church office entrance. Please note that Contribution of stocks and bonds is a great way to give to the ministry of Champion Forest. However, stock contributions require transfer authorization orders. Stock transfers must be made by December 22 to assure proper documentation and finalization of transfer before December 31. For more information on stock transfers, please contact Lee Harn in the Administration Office, tel. 281-885-6728. The church website contains the information and documents necessary to complete stock transfers as well as other year-end giving options.

Your Bank's Online Bill-Pay Service

Setting up Online Bill Pay is an easy process. While every bank is different, the majority of banks have a “Payments” tab to click on. Then click “pay bills” or “add payee.” Next, you will simply enter Champion Forest Baptist Church’s information. Our address is 15555 Stuebner Airline, Houston, TX 77069. Once you have entered that information, you can either give your gift by using the pay bill option (usually this is a one time payment) or the repeating payment option. If you have any trouble, the FAQ section of the bank’s website typically has helpful instructions.

Stock Contributions

There are three ways to contribute stock to the church. One, you request a transfer through your broker that a certain number of shares be transferred directly into the church's brokerage account. Two, you have in your possession a certificate in your name. Three, you have arranged through your broker to have stock put in the church's name. The steps to be taken to complete the contribution are similar. The following describe the steps to be taken in each instance:

  1. Transfer of Stock From Donor's Broker Directly to CFBC's Broker: This can be done without coming into The Administration Office. All you will need to do is complete the attached "Letter of Authorization - Stock Transfer" form and fax it or mail it to your broker. Be sure to fax or mail a copy to the Administration Office of Champion Forest Baptist Church. [Fax: (281) 440-5316 0r by mail: 15555 Stuebner Airline Rd, Houston, TX 77069] Once the stock reaches the church's account, the Administration Office will mail the donor a letter acknowledging the contribution of the stock as of the date the transaction was initiated.
  2. Certificate Held in Donor's Name: The donor will need to complete a "Third Party Release" form that the Administration office will provide and it must be signed in the presence of a notary. This can be done at the church Office. Please call ahead and arrange for a time. We can fill in all of the Information required before you arrive and it should take only a few minutes To complete the signing and notarization of the form, and the stock Certificate in the presence of the notary. Do NOT fill out any of the information on the certificate until you reach the office. The Administration Office will provide the donor a letter acknowledging the contribution of the stock as of the date the transaction was initiated.
  3. Certificate that has been put in the name of the church: Donor needs only to bring or mail their stock certificate to the church Administration office, accompanied by a "Donation Description" letter describing the gift (number of shares and stock name) and signed by the donor. (The Administration Office can provide a form to aid in preparing this, however that is not necessary if you follow the directions in the sentence above.) The Administration Office will mail the donor a letter acknowledging the contribution of the stock as of the date the transaction was initiated.

Because the contribution of stock is a non-cash contribution, the amount received will not appear on the donor's giving record. A letter will be mailed to the donor confirming the gift. This letter is for your records and is to be used as confirmation of the gift as support for federal tax purposes. The church does not place a value on the stock. A record should be kept by the donor, of the value of the stock on the day donated.

For assistance or information please contact CFBC by phone at 281-440-3800. Please do not include any account numbers in any electronic correspondence.
